Fun Times

We've had a very fun and eventful month.  Rob, Wyatt, and I just got home from Baker, NV and got to see all the Hamil-babies, Violet, Ava, and Isaac.  We loved seeing everyone and got to stay in Vegas which is always interesting.

Wyatt did really well on the plane and the long drive to my brother's house in Baker.  He was really unhappy for the first 10 minutes of the first flight, but once Rob calmed him down and he took his bottle, he slept the rest of the flight.  I even did a diaper change on the side of the road in the middle of no where.  We passed some critical habitat for desert tortoises, and I really enjoyed being back in the west and absorbing that high elevation sunshine.  Rob got to snake hunt with Bryan, and we both got to help with rattlesnake surgeries.  Wyatt seemed to enjoy all the attention and meeting his cousins.  He is such a content little man and was a great traveler.

I have more pictures to add later and some more videos.  This one is old from when Wyatt first started tummy time.  He has since learned how to push with his legs and is much stronger.  He'll be crawling in no time, and I can already tell when he gets going there will be no stopping him.  I can tell by the way he looks around that he is ready to move and explore!

Happy Easter

Today was Wyatt's very first Easter, and we had a big day.  We went to church and listened to the organ music which I think he finds soothing.  I always expect the loud music to scare him but even when he's sleeping it doesn't seem to phase him.  After that, we visited the Moss family and baby West who is just 6 months older than him.  We came home and walked to the neighbors' who have family with twin 7 month old boys.  Wyatt is already making friends and not even old enough to know it!

Rob gets Wyatt laughing like no one else, and I was able to catch it on video.

Wyatt also got to attend his first crawlfish boil yesterday.

Look at all the crayfish!

He's very curious.

Best Buddies

I'm so glad it's finally spring and good weather for getting outside and enjoying the day.  Our azaleas are booming wonderfully and provided a great picture opportunity.  Wyatt is just starting to sit in his Bumbo but still a bit small for it.  I love the way he just looks so chilled out sitting up.

3 months old

Wyatt is now 3 months old and loves to smile and coo.  We had a 20 minute conversation the other day if only I knew what he was saying.  He is so much more aware and grabs objects now and even plays with one of his toys.  Here are a couple of videos and new pictures.

Dress up

I've been having a ton of fun dressing Wyatt up in some of the out-fits people have given us.  I was so excited to find out he fits in the camouflage out-fit Rob's parents bought us and added a little flannel shirt my mom got when he was born.  I know someday he won't let me dress him up and take his picture so even more reason to enjoy it now!

Visitors

Robert and Vicky came to visit for a weekend with Shane, Treetie, Logan, and Riley.  I didn't get very many pictures, because I was enjoying just spending time with everyone.  The weather was wonderful, and we walked to the park and passed the football in the yard.  It was one of those great glimpses of springtime weather, and Wyatt got to meet his cousins and Uncle Shane and Aunt Treetie.

Pacifiers and Silly Songs

Wyatt is growing and changing everyday and makes the cutest faces.  He coos and smiles and even giggles now too.  I told him to smile and took this picture and didn't even realize he had given me a half smile until I looked at the image :)

He loves his mobile and to hold your finger.  He really enjoys his moma singing to him which is pretty hilarious if you've ever heard me sing and try to remember words to songs.  We have a monkey that plays Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and an elephant that plays Rock-a-Bye Baby, and he's really enjoyed music since he was a newborn.

He loves his mobile.

Wyatt started taking a pacifier about a week ago.  I wanted to wait a while to be sure he was nursing really well and when we finally tried to give it to him he'd gag and gum the nipple unsure of it.  A nurse at my OB clinic had to show me how to get him take it and now that he knows what it is, he LOVES his pacifier.  We may have created a monster but our evenings are much quieter!  He's even sleeping better at night.

Here's some pictures of Rob with Wyatt.  Our baby is practically walking!  Rob can get him to move his legs a little like he's really about to walk.

More pictures of Wyatt

We gave Wyatt a bath today. I've been doing sponge baths for about a week because his belly button is still bleeding a little ever now and then.  I got some pictures this morning and you can really see how much bigger he is if you look at the pictures from his first bath just a couple weeks ago.

He loves the water.

How could anyone ever say no to this face?

It's cold with wet hair even when you hardly have any hair!
I love this face.  It looks like he wondering what we are going to make him do next.

He's getting big enough for toys now and can sit in his bouncer seat.

His first toy.
We got a little carried away.

Napping away.

Little angel.
